Excess Baggage

If passengers have more personal baggage than the allowed limit of 30 kg, it may be carried as excess baggage or by normal cargo.

When transported as excess baggage, the additional luggage will normally travel on the same flight as the passenger. Excess baggage will be subject to a fee depending on the weight and destination.

When transported as normal cargo, the additional luggage will be dispatched on the next flight to the destination and will be subject to space availability. Charges for normal cargo are generally lower than the charges for excess baggage. Normal cargo will be subject to a fee depending on the weight and destination

All charges for excess baggage and normal cargo are calculated on a one-way basis and are collected at the airport ticket counter.

Portable Dialysis Machines

In addition to the normal free baggage allowance, a passenger dependent on a portable dialysis machine (PDM) is entitled to carry the machine and ancillary equipment free of charge. Due to their size (approximately 24 ins x 24 ins x 18 ins) the machines must be stowed in the hold, using the bulk hold where possible on wide bodied aircraft.

Windsurfing Boards

Due to the size and nature of windsurfing boards, these items are not normally accepted as baggage and must be carried as cargo.

Cycling, Golf, Ice hockey, Diving and Tennis equipment will be accepted as excess baggage
