Terms of Service

Jubba Airways is a Somalia-based carrying passengers across Southern Somalia, and to Mogadishu, Galkayo, Bosaso, Hargeisa, Djibouti, Dubai and Jeddah. Jubba Airways is headquartered in Mogadishu, Somalia with branch offices located in Somalia, Djibouti, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Article 1: Definition

1.1 Carrier
"Carrier" means Jubba Airways;

1.2 Baggage
"Baggage" means your personal property accompanying you in connection with your flight;

1.3 Convention
"Convention" means whichever of the following applicable conventions:

  • The Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules relating to International Carriage by Air, signed in Warsaw on 12 October 1929 (the "Warsaw Convention") and amendments related thereto;
  • The Convention Supplementary to the Warsaw Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules Relating to International Carriage by Air Performed by a Person other than the Contracting Carrier, signed in Guadalajara on 18 September 1961 (the "Guadalajara Convention");
  • The Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules for International Carriage by Air, signed in Montreal on 28 May 1999 (the "Montreal Convention");

1.4 Damage
"Damage" includes death, wounding or bodily injury to a Passenger, and loss, partial loss, theft or other damage to Baggage arising from or in connection with carriage or associated services performed by us;

1.5 Passenger or You (your / yourself)
"Passenger" and "you" are equivalent and mean any person carried or to be carried in an aircraft following the purchase of a ticket;

1.6 Special Drawing Rights (SDRs)
"Special Drawing Rights" means the unit of currency defined by the International Monetary Fund;

1.7 Ticket
"Ticket" means the confirmation of flight details, including the Booking Reference, as well as the conditions of contract and the Boarding Pass issued at check-in;

1.8 Terms and Conditions of Carriage
"Terms and Conditions of Carriage" means the present Terms and Conditions of Carriage;

1.9 We (our / ourselves / us)
"We" means Jubba Airways.

Article 2: Applicability

2.1 General
These Terms and Conditions of Carriage apply to all flights performed by us subject to Articles;

2.2 Overriding Laws
Should the Terms and Conditions of Carriage or any part of them be inconsistent with any compulsory laws, including Convention, which apply to our contract of carriage, those laws will apply.
